Scholars in the humanities and social sciences who hold a position at an institution in one the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway, as well as the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland) are eligible to apply.

The purpose of the Nordic Fellowship Programme is to strengthen the ties between the Swedish research community and Nordic colleagues. The programme promotes collaboration across disciplinary boundaries, and aims to attract scholars who are interested in interdisciplinary research, discussion and collaboration. The programme gives fellows the opportunity to concentrate on their own research interests, free from the teaching and administrative obligations of ordinary university life.

There are currently two calls out for the Nordic Fellowship Programme for both the 2024/2025 and the 2025/2026 academic year.

Scholars may apply for a full academic year (September – June) or one semester.

For more detailed information on eligibility criteria, application procedures, and the fellowship, candidates are encouraged to visit SCAS' website >
